Rufftown Records signee Wendy Shay has disclosed that singing secular music or her style of music doesn’t make her a bad person or an ‘unbeliever’.
According to the ‘uber driver’ hitmaker, singing secular music doesn’t mean her heart doesn’t belong to God.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz Show on Friday, the songstress disclosed that she is very religious and very spiritual.
She indicated that people tag her the ‘bad girl’ type but she virtually the opposite.
Wendy Shay further stated that in spite of the many criticisms from the public, her church doesn’t criticize her showbiz personality but they rather pray over her songs.
“They accept me for who I am and never look down on me.” Wendy Shay disclosed in an interview on Hitz FM which was monitored by browngh.com.
The musician added that she has a close relationship with the head pastor and her music career doesn’t interfere with her relationship with God.
“I talk to my pastor every day and this is my way of hustling. Just because I sing secular music doesn’t mean my heart is not with God. If music is gonna get me money, I think it’s another way to help god’s ministry,” she expatiated.
