Budding Afro-pop singer, Gideon Adade-Boakye, who goes by the moniker Deon Boakye, has dirvulged how celebrated reggae and dancehall artiste, Samini, endorsing his brand affected his life.
According to the fast-rising Ghanaian musician, Samini has affected his life positively and negatively.
Sitting down with e.TV Ghana on The Late Nite Celebrity Show, Deon was full of praise for the CEO of HighGrade Family for doing what Napoleon couldn’t do for him.
Citing the merits of Samini’s endorsement, the VGMA 2017 Unsung Artiste of the Year nominee said “Positively in the sense that Samini is a legend and everybody in Ghana or anyone following Ghanaian music knows Samini and what he has done”.
“And the name ‘high-grade’ is powerful. Anywhere I reach and mention the name High-grade and Deon Boakye, they will say oh Samini’s son”.
He went on to state some demerits, and according to him “people started realizing that I have reached there so lets leave him. So people who use to support and vibe with me started moving away. The places I go to eat, I can’t go there again”.
He, however, stated that in whatever way the positive side out weighs the negative and he’s grateful Samini blessed him with an endorsement.
